Kylie’s senior portraits were an adventure in New York City and my favorite part about them is I was their tour guide. I love The City. The locations we went to were handpicked and thought out to ensure I provided The City experience. Kylie also loves NYC. When we were contemplating where we were going to go. We pondered on Seattle, Oregon, OKC and then landed on New York City!
Kylie was having Facebook memories pop up before we left and created her own countdown. I would say she was pretty pumped about her trip. Sharing her memories and seeing her laughter, I knew this was going to be something she cherished forever. Plus, Kylie experiencing this with her Mom you can see how much the two are close and bonded even more. Although senior portraits are fun to do at locations we think are pretty or photogenic, it’s even more important to choose places that have meaning to you and your family - whether that’s a place that brings you back to childhood memories or even just somewhere that fits your personality.
We bounced around the city. Upper Westside, Chelsea, East Village, SoHo, Times Square, Brooklyn, 5th Avenue and Central Park. It was a treat to be a part of Kylie's first experiences: Subway and The Bronx. The subway was probably the cherry to the weekend. Especially watching her keep her balance and hesitating on grabbing the pole to keep her balance.
